Admin Wing

The Admin Wing of S&GAD plays a pivotal role in overseeing the management of various service cadres, ensures the efficient administration, and executes different responsibilities such as establishment matters relating to Section Officers in the Secretariat, Assistant Commissioners in fields, and other encadred posts of BS-17 along with the management of Ministerial Staff (BS-01 to BS-17).

Furthermore, the Wing ensures timely approval and processing of pension cases of Ministerial Staff (BS-01 to BS-17), Section Officers and Assistant Commissioners (BS-17). It supervises litigation cases pending in various courts such as the Supreme Court, High Court, PST etc. and holds meetings of the Departmental Promotion Committee and Provincial Selection Board-II for merit-based promotion of officials/officers in BS-01 to BS-17.

This Wing is equally responsible for handling disciplinary cases, inquiries, and miscellaneous complaints. Further, it ensures the monitoring of budgetary matters of Assistant Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and Commissioners and warrants the disbursement of financial assistance and medical reimbursements, etc. to Assistant Commissioners and Section Officers.

Another critical responsibility is the establishment and management of the Surplus Pool. The Wing ensures the regular conduct of Departmental Examinations for Ex-PCS, PSS, and PMS Officers, as well as periodic amendments to examination syllabus and evaluation methodologies. It also maintains a structured reward and reprimand system through continuous monitoring and regular coordination meetings.

For efficient and speedy disposal of official assignments, the HRMS is holistically operated in the matters like transfer/posting and pension cases (Ministerial Staff BS-01 to BS-17 & ACs / SOs BS-17).

Lastly, the Admin Wing redresses the complaints submitted on the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal and the Grievances Redressal Commission within the stipulated period of time.
